Unfortunately, my experience was marred by some issues. I found my bed excessively hard, which made for an uncomfortable first night. The room was poorly lit and it felt rather dreary, not what I prefer when staying away. Additionally, I was disappointed that I was not provided with any milk for my coffee during my second night, which was a small yet meaningful oversight.

I just couldn’t believe the old soap in the shower, talk about a lack of attention to detail. Plus, the lighting was horrifically bright, making reading impossible, especially for two people in one chair. I woudl ve been so pleased if I had received a room upgrade for my troubles, but no red-carpet treatment here.

Spent an exciting day exploring the galleries in Oamaru with my family. The kids loved the comfortable king studio, and we enjoyed the high ceilings and great shower pressure. The breakfast was a delightful surprise with excellent coffee to kick-start our mornings.

The building is a masterpiece unlike any other I’ve seen with fascinating art everywhere and themed rooms that spark imagination. The breakfast setup was brilliant I met other guests and we exchanged stories which was nice.
